A classical penthouse set in old world decor with a palatial feel. The interiors embody a spirit of decadence, ornate embellishments and classical patterns like black and white flooring, marble columns and arches and cast wrought iron work which creates the tones of yesteryears. The client has a repository of curated artworks which need to be displayed and showcased as well.
A contemporary design for a corporate office for Hamstede Living Pvt Ltd which is a company dealing in establishing Co-Living spaces for young professionals and students. The idea was to create a young, energetic space which has a white and grey palette with a highlight of “Yellow” which is their branding colour. The space is defined with subtle graphics which portray the story of the brand, using elements of Indian architecture and script in a sophisticated-contemporary manner.
A Pet Products Kiosk “Heads up for Tails” designed for the brand in a quirky fun style, in a high street mall location in New delhi’s Select City walk Mall.
The creation of an open plan in the design of the space with a double height volume establishes the centerpoint of the house.
As we enter the house we begin to look skywards at the skylight and the double height feature art wall composed in bricks. The material palette of the house is : brick, pine wood, bisazza tile, white marble and and textured paint. The formal living room has pine wood panelling on the ceiling which creates warmth in the aesthetical appeal.
The house has large open spaces for flexible furniture arrangements, which can be accomodated in any form as one wants. The use of Jali’s create semi private zones, yet maintaining a continuous space.
The Second floor is reserved for family space and bedrooms, with a terrace sit out garden and a study with a fireplace.
